JOB DESCRIPTION:

Greets and welcomes all guests in a pleasant and professional manner. Provides timely food/beverage service in a friendly and courteous manner. Keeps guests entertained by dancing during service. Takes drink orders, communicates with bartenders, bar backs and bar porters. Keeps assigned areas clean and empty of glasses and bottles. Constantly looks for service opportunities. Answers guests questions and is knowledgeable about property events and attractions. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations and Stratosphere policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible to set-up, maintain and close work stations in an efficient, clean and timely manner.
• Responsible to greet guests and provide excellent service to all internal and external guests.
• Responsible to present menus, suggest cocktails/cold beer, appetizers and specials and serve food and beverages efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Responsible to monitor guests throughout their visit to ensure all needs are met.
• Responsible for dancing to one to three songs per hour on lighted stage or as directed by management.
• Ensures tables and cocktail lounge are kept clean and cleared of all unnecessary items.
• Responsible to total the bill, check bills for accuracy and obtain payment from the guest.
• Assists in setting up tables, including tableware and condiments.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be comfortable serving in designated uniform.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have the ability to obtain a valid health card, alcohol awareness card and non-gaming sheriff’s card.
• Must be able to provide all documents required for work in the U.S
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate English both in verbal and written form.
• Must be able to use the Infogenesis computer system.
• Excellent guest service skills are required.
